**Position Overview**A Tequila Company is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented **Procurement and Inventory Specialist**to oversee the sourcing of materials and management of inventory for our tequila production operations. This dual-role position requires expertise in procurement processes, inventory control, and a thorough understanding of the tequila industry’s unique requirements.**Key Responsibilities****Procurement Responsibilities**:- **Supplier Management**Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers for agave, bottles, corks, labels, packaging, and other materials.Negotiate contracts to secure cost-effective deals without compromising quality.Conduct regular supplier performance reviews to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.- **Sourcing and Purchasing**Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with production schedules and budgets.Monitor market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.Ensure compliance with international trade requirements.- **Cost Management**Analyze and manage procurement budgets, identifying opportunities for cost savings.Track and report spending, ensuring procurement aligns with financial goals.**Inventory Responsibilities**:- **Inventory Control**Monitor stock levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to ensure uninterrupted production.Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accuracy and minimize waste.Establish and maintain reorder points for all critical materials.- **Coordination with Production**Collaborate with production teams to forecast material needs and align inventory with production schedules.Ensure that all materials meet quality standards before being used in production.- **Warehouse Management**Oversee the organization and storage of inventory to optimize space and accessibility.Implement and maintain inventory management systems to streamline operations.- **Logistics Support**Coordinate with logistics teams to schedule the delivery of materials and shipments of finished goods.Track incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely delivery and avoid production delays.**Qualifications**- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.- 5+ years of experience in procurement and inventory management, preferably in the beverage or spirits industry.- Familiarity with tequila production processes, CRT regulations, and export/import requirements.- Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.- Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.- Fluent in English and Spanish is highly preferred.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.**Why Join Us?**Become a key player in a dynamic and growing tequila company where you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the production of a world-class product.
