These include establishing Development Funds at our Akyem and Ahafo operational areas with each mine contributing US$1 per ounce of gold sold and 1% of net pre-tax annual profit into its community development fund.Join us and unearth your potential in a global company that is at the forefront of shaping the future of the mining industry.What will you be responsible for?Implement health and hygiene programs to support the site in alignment with corporate strategies and initiatives.In this role you will**Here is a snapshot of what your day will look like**:- Adapt and Implement comprehensive health and hygiene programs to promote the well-being of all site personnel, ensuring adherence to Newmont Standards, regulatory requirements, and standard methodologies.- Conduct regular health risk assessments and workplace inspections to identify potential health hazards, Implement measures to mitigate risks, and enhance workplace conditions.- Facilitate content development for health training and education programs for employees, focusing on topics such as occupational health, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle practices.- Collaborate with regulatory bodies, health professionals, and other partners to ensure ongoing compliance with health regulations and to stay updated on standard methodologies and advancements in occupational health.- Oversee running of the site medical clinic- Assurance of medical surveillance in accordance with regulations and Newmont requirements- Lead the Health and Hygiene teams, understand their role as a team leader, and can translate this into their day-to-day interactions.- Understands the behavior of individuals and the effects on the team, resolving conflicts.Your training, skills and experience checklist- Professional Certificate in medicine- Industry-recognized health& hygiene systems, standards, and processes- Relevant Mexican regulations and compliance requirements- Risk Assessment: Identify and assess chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic hazards.- Communication and Influencing skills- Health& Safety Investigation processes- Risk Management processes- Change Management- Industrial hygiene- Knowledge of occupational diseases- Proficiency in building /implementing wellbeing, occupational health& hygiene systems- Competency in implementing health& hygiene standards, best-fit practices, monitoring processes, and regulatory compliance (site roles)- Competent level of project management- Advanced proficiency in the analysis of data to monitor and predict performance.- Competent commercial skills: budgets, forecasting, planning, analysis, reporting and communicating results- Advanced englishWorking ConditionsWhere you will be locatedThe position is in country/continuous, located in Peñasquito Mazapil, Zacatecas Mexico.
