Research in Cement and Binder Chemistry as part of the Global R&D team, leading R&D projects in the field of Binder technology focused in the reduction of the environmental impact.**Main Responsibilities**:- Research of the state-of-the-art of the topics assigned- Research and Development of new chemistry binders.- Preparation and characterization of raw materials, final products and emissions.- Support in the calibration and maintenance of instrumentation and analytical equipment.- Knowledge about standards for laboratory tests (ASTM, ISO, EN, etc).**Position Challenges**:- Facilitate the collaboration of people and cross functional groups.**Qualifications**:- Good communication skills in English and Spanish.- Chemist or Material Science bachelor, preferable should have Master Science degree or higher degree in fields of Material Science.- Knowledge in inorganic chemistry with a focus on Portland cement and binders chemistry.- Experience with analytical methods (XRF, DSC, TGA), microscopy (Optical and SEM), mineralogical analysis (XRD and Microscopy), material testing equipment and material modelling tools.- Experience in research of patents, scientific literature, laboratory research, and writing research proposals.- Knowledge in design of experiments.- Ideally, more than 2 years of professional experience in materials research activities**Internal/External Relations**:INTERNAL:Global R&D Group, Global Operations and Technology Area, CEMEX Ventures, CEMEX Corporate Sustainability, CEMEX Business UnitsEXTERNAL: Research Institutes, Universities, Cement Associations**CEMEX Diversity and Inclusion Statement**:At CEMEX, we recognize the diversity of the world in which we live and in which we do business.
