The Accounts Payables SME is responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers. This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting the overall efficiency of the finance department.**Key Responsibilities**:- Review and verify invoices and check requests.- Sort, code, and match invoices to purchase orders and receipts.- Enter and upload invoices into the accounting system.- Track and process expense reports and employee reimbursements.- Prepare and perform check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments.- Reconcile accounts payable transactions.- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.- Assist with month-end closing and reporting.- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding payments and invoices.**Qualifications**:- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or finance preferred.- 1-3 years of experience in accounts **payable**or general accounting.- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.**Preferred Skills**:- Experience with ERP systems.- Familiarity with three-way matching and procurement processes.- Knowledge of tax regulations related to vendor payments (e.g., VAT, withholding).- ** Portuguese Language (intermediate or advanced mandatory)
