Failure Analysis Engineer Sr

Purpose Statement: Provide initial assessment of root cause failure analysis of electronic components and related devices on a physical (not electronic) level.Key Job Accountabilities:- Perform sample preparation and initial assessment of defective, electronic, electrical and mechanical parts.- Write reports to summarize findings using Microsoft Word or Excel and convert to PDF as is required.- Establish standard assessment practices and create documentation.- Maintain laboratory and related equipment.- Route issues for further analysis to FA Lead Engineer.Additional Accountabilities:- Assist in the assessment and management of third party laboratory services.- Support on generation of FA reports- Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business- Additional duties as assigned by management.Education/Experience Qualifications:- A minimum of a Technical degree is required; a(n) Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering Technologies or similar Engineering is preferred.- 4-5+ years of related experience is required; 4-5+ years of industry experience is preferred.An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.Other Qualifications:- Strong organizational, time management, problem solving, and interpersonal skills- Advanced English- Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution and negotiation.- Assertive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment; leadershipPhysical Requirements:- General office & Test equipment’s and materials- Physical strength testing equipment.Work Environment:- The work setting should consist of a manufacturing environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a moderate noise level.- This document does not represent a contract of employment and is not intended to capture every possible assignment the incumbent could be asked to perform._
