Work description:Our Client is a leading IT and Cybersecurity Company in the NYC area. We pride ourselves in delivering high-quality IT services. We are rapidly growing, and looking to add new, career-driven team members.**Responsibilities**:- Setting up the project in the following- Microsoft cloud (azure, in tune, office 365)- Networking setup and design (firewalls, network switches, wifi controllers)- Windows Server administration and setup (DFS, DHCP, active directory, group policy)- Virtualisation setup and design (vm ware, San, vsan, clustering, HA) Experience- At least 5 years of experience as a system administrator or any related profession in the same field- Expert-level knowledge and hands-on experience with L2/L3 Switching/Routing, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, security consulting, SSL, etc.- Strong TCP/IP and networking skills to perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems- In-depth understanding of protocol and network analyzers- Expert-level understanding the role of customer support- Ability to work under stressful circumstances and deadline pressure- Ability to collaborate across members of the same team and cross-functional teams alike;- Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills are required to interact and communicate with external or internal partners**Requirements**:- Must have a laptop or desktop which meets the minimum qualifications:- Processor:- Core i5 or higher- RAM - 8GB or higher- Bandwidth Requirements Minimum:- Download Speed: at least 6 Mbps- Upload Speed: at least 6 Mbps- Hardwired into the internet- Headset- A quiet, private place in your home where you can work without background.- Key factor for this job is previous job length, if you had multiple positions in a short period of time please do not apply.**MUST BE**:- Extremely committed and responsible.- Quick learner.- Resolution oriented.- Hungry to learn and advance in their career.- Self-start and will look for ways to improve processes and services.- Great troubleshooter.**Nice to have - (Not required)**:- Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science or Information Systems- Industry Certifications - Microsoft, CompTIA A, Network +- Prior MSP Experience.About 1840 & Company1840 & Company is a global leader in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and remote talent solutions, dedicated to propelling businesses forward through our comprehensive suite of services.
