The project:
The client is a global bank with Corporate Real Estate (CRE) operations in more than 60 countries including c270 office buildings and c2,500 branches. Their ambition for the CRE function is to be trusted advisers to their global businesses and functions, helping them to balance service, cost, and risk. This they plan to accomplish through working with key strategic industry partners to bring innovation and new working practices to their workplace. Mace will lead the global Independent Project Management Office (IPMO). The client's vision for the IPMO is that it will represent the client across all CRE towers and with key internal stakeholders. The IPMO responsibilities will include:

  • Driving the client CRE strategy

  • Design and Engineering Standards
  • Implementation of a suite of digital tools

This role is an embedded within the client organization requiring attendance in the office minimum 3 days per week. The location of the role is Mexico and is responsible for oversight of all capital works for the Americas region portfolio, which consists of over 1,100 premises covering office, branch, datacentres and ATMs.
You'll be responsible for:
  • Establishing regional Innovation working group.
  • Representing Capital Services.
  • Acting as conduit with other CS workstreams within the client organization to ensure consistency/ appropriate inputs.
  • Co-ordinating all activities across the IPMO team to deliver a world class service to the client.
  • Supervising and directing the delivery of all performance management within the account including all aspects of Digital Services.
  • Overseeing technical standards and governance framework assurance.
  • Providing expert advice and support to all projects within the client portfolio. Partners with clients exceeding their expectations and building strong professional relationships mindful of their cost, risk and service aspirations.
  • Acting as the PMO and Project Controls Subject Matter Expert on behalf of the client.
  • Growing the account through impeccable delivery of the contracted service providing a foundation for enhanced revenue contributing additional services.
  • Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You'll need to have:
  • Significant experience of effective PMO and project controls leadership on significant/landmark PMO projects.
  • Significant experience of leading the effective deployment of robust global PMO
  • Project controls strategies/frameworks and integrated project controls methodologies.
  • Expert knowledge of risk tools, techniques and software (e.g., MS office and Power BI, Aconex, Primavera P6 and RiskHive, @risk, Primavera Risk Analyser).
  • Ability to manage activities with significant uncertainty or ambiguity providing effective consultancy to clients and other key stakeholders to drive effective outcome/s.
  • Practical application and understanding of the opportunities related to data analytics and intelligent reporting, Power BI and other reporting suite tools.
  • Strong business development skills and commercial awareness/acumen (e.g. cross selling Mace services into client organisations).
  • Strong understanding of construction and related industry, trends, innovation and associated threats and opportunities.
  • Deep domain knowledge of providing PMO and project controls leadership in collaboration with external bodies, professional institutions and peers.
  • Experience of working client side as well as consultancy.
