**Description****The Opportunity**The Customs & Transport Specialist is responsible for gathering information related to import and export operations across NAM (Mexico, United States & Canada) and capturing it in Hitachi's systems (GTS—SAP Hanna) to meet trade compliance regulations. The specialist will also be backed up to track and manage international transportation (air, ocean, and ground) and collect data about the utilization of logistics providers, lanes, rates, and equipment.**How you´ll make an impact**- Gathering import and outbound operations information from the documents (invoice, packing list, certificates of origin).- Create an import/export declaration in the Hitachi (SAP - GTS) system (summary entry - “pedimento”).- Measure the process of GTS, generate reports, and provide analysis regarding the process to stakeholders and the management team.- To prepare reports and presentations regarding inbound, outbound, and domestic shipments: air, ocean, and ground, including the analysis of the booking process, performance of the carrier/ forwarder, pick-up of the goods, and last-mile delivery.- Utilizes various transportation software systems and forwarders' websites to track shipments.**Your Background**- 1+ year of experience in customs (managing import/export operations), including experience with a customs broker and / or freight forwarders.- Proficiency in advanced Excel and PowerPoint (to prepare analysis, reports & presentations).- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in English.- Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade, International Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain specialist.**More about us**- Work-Life Balance- Growth Globally- Continuous improvement culture- Benefits above the law
