Procurement Specialist

This position is home-based in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.**Responsibilities**:As**Procurement Specialist**, you will:- Provide leadership and direction with suppliers to reduce lead-times while maintaining quality to meet customer and project schedules- Work in collaboration with Suppliers to communicate and implement NovAtel procurement strategies to achieve on time delivery and high quality performance- Monitor the delivery of Kan Ban and MRP deliveries of assigned suppliers to ensure the highest quality, on-time delivery, and cost are being met- Manage RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes to meet service and project requirements- Coordinate purchasing activities with suppliers to acquire materials to meet customer requirements, processing purchase orders and actioning MRP change messages- Proactively identify potential supply risks and provide mitigation plans to Suppliers in order to meet and achieve service levels and project schedules- Promote and support communication between vendors, engineering, and procurement driving continuous improvement with internal and external stakeholders- Continuously communicate supply material status updates to all stakeholders- Build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders- Cross-train and support the team of Supply Chain Specialists as requiredQualifications:**Must-Have**:- Minimum 5 years of experience in a sustaining procurement or planning role- Post-secondary education- Experience and use of ERP/MRP, Kanban, Safety stock, and visual manufacturing systems- Demonstrated ability to work independently to achieve set objectives and deliverables- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook**Key Success Factors**:- Strong interpersonal as well as written and spoken communication skills- Excellent organizational and analytical skills- Self-motivated and an excellent team player- Ability to influence team and build rapport with stakeholders- Strength in solving moderate to complex problems- Adapts information/style to audience, explains difficult issues clearly, establishes consensus and attains agreement- Solid negotiating skills when dealing with partners and suppliers**Nice-to-Have**:- Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain- Proven leadership of cross-functional teams, with specific experience in facilitation roles- Preferred experience in electronics manufacturing supply chain- Lean manufacturing experience- Project management skills
