Overview Modular Design Industries (MDI) and Domo Modular LLC are privately held companies specializing in volumetric modular residential buildings across Southern California, Arizona, Texas, and Colorado. With a backlog exceeding 12,000 residential units and development sites ready for construction, both companies require a bilingual Director of Finance to manage, lead, and coordinate all accounting functions for MDI (Mexico) and Domo Modular (US). This role is accountable for the financial operations and reporting of both entities, ensuring seamless integration and compliance across the organizations. Key Responsibilities Oversee full-cycle accounting in Odoo. Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes. Ensure tax compliance in both US and Mexico. Manage IMMEX and cross-border compliance. Manage NAFTA / USMCA origin certifications, VAT credit recovery, and customs broker relationships. Support U.S. federal, state, and local tax filings (including sales / use tax nexus assessments) through timely data provision. Consolidate financial statements and prepare cash-flow forecasts. Lead and develop a finance team across both countries. Drive strategic business partnering and present financial data to leadership. Institute performance KPIs and coach staff to exceed targets. Collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing teams on cost-down projects. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's / CPA preferred). Minimum 1 year of live Odoo use. Experience with IMMEX (Annex , cost-plus). Supervisory experience with cross-functional teams. Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish. Familiarity with US and Mexican accounting standards. Manufacturing experience (modular building, steel fabrication preferred).
