This role is responsible for managing insurance operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing processes, and working closely with internal teams and external partners to protect the company’s assets and mitigate risks.- Key Responsibilities:- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the insurance department, including policy issuance, renewals, and claims management.- Coordinate with dealers, clients, and insurance providers to ensure timely and accurate insurance coverage for financed vehicles.- Review and validate insurance documentation to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.- Monitor and analyze insurance performance metrics, including claim ratios and policy coverage efficiency.- Assist in the negotiation and management of contracts with insurance carriers and brokers.- Lead training initiatives for staff on insurance procedures and compliance updates.- Collaborate with risk, legal, and finance departments to improve insurance processes and manage risk exposure.- Prepare reports and dashboards for senior management regarding insurance activity, risk exposure, and portfolio performance.- Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or related field.- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in insurance, preferably in the automotive or financial services industry.- Strong knowledge of insurance products and regulatory requirements related to commercial vehicles.- Proven leadership and team management skills.- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.- Proficient in MS Office Suite; experience with insurance and CRM systems is a plus.- Bilingual (Spanish-English) preferred, depending on region.- Preferred Qualifications:- Insurance certification or licensing (e.g., CPCU, ARM, or local equivalents).- Experience in credit and collections or automotive loan servicing.- Familiarity with commercial vehicle industry trends and risks.- Diversity allows us to employ people with different experiences, abilities and points of view, and that is what enhances our culture and brings us to the forefront among the top global companies.At Daimler Financial Services, we value the diversity between our employees.In order to enrich the culture, acknowledges the importance of including people with different points of view and lifestyles into our company.
