Procurement and Materials Planning Specialist

We are hiring a** Procurement and Materials Planning Specialist** toanalyze fabric requirements and place purchase orders with suppliers in North America. Plans the sequenced production and delivery of fabric. May expedite orders as necessary to meet customer demand, schedule deadline or department priorities. Communicates and updates order status such as changes, cancellations, delivery deadlines and all pertinent information regarding the order.**What You Will Be Doing**- Analyze material requirements and place Purchase Order with suppliers in North America- Plans the sequenced production and delivery of material to ensure meeting the requested delivery date.- Communicate and update order status such as changes, cancellations, delivery deadlines and all pertinent information regarding the order.- Expedite orders as necessary to meet customer demand, schedule deadline or department priorities.- Acts as primary liaison between supplier and Steelcase for material purchasing.- Provides feedback on data integrity issues and business processes that impact or are impacted by the data delivered.At Steelcase, we know that work matters and can provide people with a deep sense of purpose.
