With our solution companies can effectively manage communication with their customers, be it as marketing campaigns, sales conversations or support requests.To realize our goal of becoming the go-to solution for WhatsApp, we’re looking to help our customers use AI in their WhatsApp conversations to better achieve their goals, be it for sales, support or any other conversation goal.You’ll have the opportunity to build, test and deploy AI at scale, and the challenge to do so while making it simple to use for non-technical users and keeping it on track so they can achieve their goals.**What your day could consist of**:- We have a way to use AI agents in our WhatsApp automations, but they’re not very user friendly to find, create or update. We’d like for every customer to try it and build automations that include AI. This means making it simple to add AI steps to our flow builder, considering memory, goals, hallucinations, etc.- Push the envelope on what can be achieved with conversation automation + AI: how can we enable users to create conversations on WhatsApp that feel natural and at the same time maintain steps that require structured data living together?- Build infrastructure and tooling for our users to inspect their agents, test and iterate on them.- For the above you’ll mostly be working on a Django-based backend with React+Tailwind frontend. We use tools like Posthog to make sense of how our users use the platform and you’ll be both interviewing customers and taking support conversations to deeply understand how users think and how best to build for them.- Mentoring the rest of the team in designing and developing AI agents. We have a team with a strong product background, but we want to learn more on the skills needed to build a world-class, AI-first product.- You’ll be working very closely with the product, sales & support team to understand what users want to achieve, implementing changes to the product to bring those goals closer and iterating fast on them. These sources will be sales demos, user interviews, recordings, support tickets, etc.- Think of these activities as bringing AI close to the end user. For that end we don’t expect to be training our own models, but productizing market-leading models to these ends.**Technical environment**:- We don’t use specific tooling yet for this role, so you’ll be able to design services, models and more alongside AC’s AI team.- Object-oriented languages, mainly: Python (Django).- Front-end languages including: Typescript, React, Tailwind.- Data stores including: PostgreSQL, Redis.- Develop SaaS systems using REST APIs, micro-services on Kubernetes and integrations with 3rd party software.- Frameworks including: Django, GraphQL, React.- Tooling including: Gitlab, Vault, Grafana, Sentry, Datadog, K8s, etc.- Other services including: AWS, Posthog, etc**What is needed**:- We do not require a CS degree, X years of experience or an amazing CV. We think those don’t really capture the spirit of building amazing things at a startup, so if you’re interested, ambitious and experienced in startups, we can start from there.- Our dream teammate has created at least a couple of AI-first or AI-only platforms or chatbots. In order to make sure we can also productize them, we’re looking for 5+ years in full-stack positions.- Experience with the tools mentioned above: our expectation is that you’ll will be able to get up to speed fairly quickly and you’ll have the whole team as mentors and as resources while you learn.- We care about quality: we test thoroughly and respond quickly to reported defects and take care of our customers' experience with our product.- Startup mindset: we do not measure deliverables in months or quarters, we like to take on a project and ship an MVP soon and iterate on it rather than wait until it’s perfect.- We take pride in building amazing products fast, and in order to do so we trust each team member and hold ourselves accountable.
