Flex is the diversified manufacturing partner of choice that helps market-leading brands design, build and deliver innovative products that improve the world.Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a NPI Quality Engineer (Metals) located in Guadalajara, North Site.Reporting to the Quality Manager, the NPI Quality Enginer’s role involves:What a typical day looks like:- Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineering teams during the product development process to ensure quality standards are met.- Develop and execute quality plans, protocols, and testing procedures for new sheet metal products.- Conduct risk assessments and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) for new products to identify and mitigate potential quality issues.- Perform inspections and audits of sheet metal components and assemblies, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.- Provide guidance on material selection, fabrication processes, and assembly techniques to optimize quality and manufacturability.- Lead root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective actions.- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure quality compliance for purchased materials and components.- Prepare and present quality reports and metrics to upper management and stakeholders.- Train and mentor production staff on quality standards, tools, and methodologies.- Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation.- Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data.- Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost.- Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product or process quality and reliability.- Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.- Holds up Product Engineers and Quality Program Managers with customer interfaces as necessary on quality related issues.The experience we’re looking to add to our team:- Advanced English- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience- Experience in quality engineering, specifically with sheet metal products- Strong knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.) and quality tools (Six Sigma, 8D, etc.).- Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.- Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with statistical analysis.- Strong verbal and written communication skills.- Experience with CAD software and quality inspection tools.- Familiarity with manufacturing processes related to sheet metal, such as stamping, bending, hardware Insertion, and welding.What you’ll receive for the great work you provide:- Pantry vouchers- Saving Fund- Christmas bonus- Holiday bonus- Medical Insurance- Life InsuranceCP68Job CategoryQuality**Required Skills**:Optional Skills:
