Descripción y detalle de las actividadesPosition**:Maintenance** **Supervisor**Reports to: Operations ManagerCompany: Mettler ToledoIndustry: Precision Instruments ManufacturingLocation: Blvd 2000 - Parque Sur Industrial Tijuana, BC**Job Summary**Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities to ensure optimal operational efficiency and safety. This role involves planning, coordinating, and supervising maintenance activities, managing maintenance staff, scheduling preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. The supervisor also collaborates with other departments to minimize downtime, maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, and report on maintenance performance and needs. Strong leadership, technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this position.**Main Responsibilities**- Supervise Maintenance Team: Lead and manage maintenance technician’s activities to ensure efficient and effective repair and upkeep of equipment and facilities.- Schedule Preventive Maintenance for equipment and facility: Plan and oversee regular maintenance activities to prevent equipment/facilities breakdowns and extend asset life.- Troubleshoot and Repair: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or structural issues and ensure timely repairs to minimize downtime.- Control maintenance logs, manuals, software and licenses according to each equipment needs.- Ensure Safety Compliance: Enforce adherence to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment and safe maintenance procedures.- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage maintenance supplies and spare parts to support continuous operations.- Coordinate with Other Departments: Collaborate with production, engineering, and other teams to align maintenance activities with operational needs.Experiência y requisitos**Cont. Main Responsibilities**:- Maintain Records and Reporting: Document maintenance activities, equipment performance and generate reports for management review. Ensure these are maintained within targets and corrective plans are implemented for improvement.- Support and perform improvements for Lean and continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes and support areas.- Manage Budget and Costs**:_ _**Oversee maintenance budgets and work to optimize costs without compromising quality or safety.- Manage janitorial crew and consumables through team. Assign roles, supervise completion and ensure- Manage utilities, register monthly usage and implement improvements for better utilization and cost reduction.- Take an active role in new electronic product and transfer projects by collaborating project plans, assisting in the creation of timelines and budgets, ensuring equipment integrity, performing assessments, and communicating/reporting installation and setup progress as needed as needed.- Manage suppliers by quoting, selecting, evaluating, developing agreements and ensuring effective and timely delivery of services and goods related to facilities or equipment maintenance.- Coordinate facilities related maintenance with park management and environmental health and safety.- Travel when necessary. Occasional.**Requirements**:- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Facilities Management, or a related technical field.- 5+ years of maintenance experience.
