**About the Team**:It's an exciting time to join our growing Accounting team with ample development opportunities. We're looking for a Senior GL Accountant who will work with other general ledger accounting and lease administration staff on daily accounting operations.**About the Role**:You will report to our Sr. Accounting Manager on the Lease Accounting team. If you're a proactive and self-motivated accountant, this is the role for you. Progressive experience in accounting operations, internal controls and financial systems is required, as well as the ability to interact with all levels of management and cross-functional teams. You will work remotely, based in Mexico, with occasional travel for team events / offsites, expected to be once a year.Please submit your resume in English.**You're excited about this opportunity because you will**:- Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations for Lease Accounting- Execute monthly rent roll/lease payment process- Support lease payment reconciliation- Manage monthly meetings and communication with Real Estate Team to ensure that all lease contracts and contract changes are identified and included in the company's lease population- Key owner of the monthly close process and rent roll process for US and foreign entities- Ensure financial records are maintained for Management and GAAP Consolidated financial statements using accepted procedures- Help provide deliverables to external auditor on annual audits and quarterly reviews- Collaborate and communicate with cross functional partners regarding relevant accounting matters- Perform ad-hoc analyses and projects**We're excited about you because**:- 4+ years of relevant accounting experience (Accounts Payable experience is a plus)- Bachelor's degree in Accounting- Strong written and verbal proficiency in English - you will work with US-based stakeholders- Experience with ERP software is a must (i.e., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP)- Strong spreadsheet skills, with the ability to manipulate and digest large amounts of data- Collaborative, adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced settingNotice to Applicants for Jobs Located in NYC or Remote Jobs Associated With Office in NYC OnlyThe Covey tool has been reviewed by an independent auditor.
