Translations Implementation Specialist

The Opportunity: This position is responsible for the implementation of translation assets (text, voice, video, etc) for our eLearning course library. This is a busy, high-volume but friendly environment that will suit an organized person with a great eye for detail. This position will report to the Translations Team Lead and may require working with the Translations Project Manager. Key Responsibilities: Balances multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Meets tight deadlines Locates and filters translation/proofreader/voiceover resources Communications with team and all vendors or contractors as needed Manages files -- from translation through internal review to final delivery -- using internal and external resources Proofs and edits projects for completeness, formatting accuracy, and linguistic quality Makes sure content adheres to our quality standards Localizes content as needed per our dept standards Applies translations and voiceover to web-based courses utilizing various software Education and Experience: At least 2 years of experience in the translation industry (or similar media-based industry), including subject matter expertise in localization tools and processes across multiple content types Translation Memory/CAT Tools knowledge preferred (We use WordFast) but not required Knowledge of translation industry standards and best practices preferred but not required Proven track record of managing complex projects involving external resources Demonstrated ability to be an intelligent, creative, self-reliant, self-organizing problem solver while working in a team environment Experience leveraging technology to solve workflow problems and increase efficiency Strong proofreading skills and thorough knowledge of quality control a must eLearning experience preferred Experience with XML, HTML, CSS, and sound/voiceover editing software preferred Ability to read or write a second language preferred Competency: Great organizational and time-management skills Great attention to detail and a commitment to get the job done right Strong grammatical, prioritization, communication and collaboration skills Strong attention to detail Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage and resolve conflict Ability to articulate learning terminology and processes with non-training personnel Ability to work successfully with a global, virtual team Competent with Microsoft Office Ability to meet deadlines Strong problem solving skills Proven ability to maintain a solution driven approach and adapt to new processes, workflows and challenges Strong fluency in English About Inspired eLearning | VIPRE Security Group: Inspired eLearning, a part of the VIPRE Security Group and a Ziff Davis company, is a leading provider of powerful eLearning solutions focused on Workforce Protection and Development. Compensation Range: Please be sure to review the US pay transparency guidance document here and include the below for any locations where a salary range is required. Ziff Davis provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The salary compensation for this role is 20,000 MXN to 25,000 MXN. Individual pay within the compensation range for this business unit specific role is determined based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, education and training, as well as business and company performance.
