Quant Systems Engineer – Trading Automation

We are seeking a Quant Systems Engineer to help us automate and operationalize a proprietary trading system within a professional asset management environment. This is not a trader role. This is not a discretionary position. The role is 100% on-site and focused on engineering discipline, automation, and execution fidelity. You will implement clearly defined rules exactly as specified, with no improvisation. What You Will Do Implement rule-based trading logic in Python (no strategy design) Automate and maintain: trade logging and reporting performance and risk metrics Build and operate: paper trading systems audit logs and monitoring tools Translate precise written specifications into reliable, production-grade code Ensure system stability, correctness, documentation, and repeatability What You Will NOT Do ❌ You will NOT trade manually ❌ You will NOT design or modify strategies ❌ You will NOT optimize rules unless explicitly instructed ❌ You will NOT make discretionary market decisions Required Skills Must Have Experience working with APIs Ability to implement if/then logic and state-based systems High attention to detail and operational discipline Nice to Have Experience with financial or market data Basic understanding of derivatives or options (conceptual, not trading) Experience with automation, monitoring, or backend systems Background in fintech or data engineering We value people who Execute instructions exactly as specified Prefer structure and clarity over creativity Care deeply about stability, safety, and correctness Are comfortable not changing the strategy This role is not suitable for discretionary traders profiles seeking to redesign strategies Compensation & Benefits MXN $25,000 gross per month (full-time) Bonuses linked to technical milestones and system reliability Not linked to trading PnL Private medical insurance (major medical expenses) Master’s degree / postgraduate education support (based on performance and tenure) Clear salary growth path tied to responsibility and system maturity Why This Role Work on a real institutional trading system Learn how professional-grade trading infrastructure is built Be part of a long‑term, serious project Direct exposure to high standards and disciplined execution Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at EON ASSETS by 2x Get notified about new Quantitative Analyst jobs in Mexico City, Mexico . #J-18808-Ljbffr
