**Job Description “Junior Accountant”****Summary**:The Accountant records financial transactions and provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports.**Responsibilities**:- Maintain accounts receivable and issue invoices- Maintain accounts payable and perform reconciliations- Responsible for the timely and accurate posting and reconciliation of the general ledger- Support implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures in compliance with GAAP- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting- Assist with year-end audit- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requestedSpecific tasks may change as the needs of the business progress.**Requirements**:- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or in related area with accounting certificate- Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)- Familiarity with accounting financial statements with the ability to prepare and analyze financial statements- High level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to prioritize demands and meet deadline**Preferred Qualifications**:- Advanced QuickBooks experience- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Vlookup and pivot tables- Current or actively working to obtain a CPA license- 1+ years of accounting experience**.
