Contribute actively to governance, strategic decision-making, and resource allocation, aligning our research and innovation agenda with overarching institutional priorities as expressed in the Strategy. Champion inter-program collaboration as you oversee CIMMYT's role within CGIAR Research Programs and Platforms, ensuring cohesive and aligned research efforts. Championing Strategic Resource Mobilization : Forge robust pathways for resource mobilization by overseeing grants, projects, and intellectual property management in partnership with scientists and operational staff. Diligently review and assess CIMMYT's research budget, ensuring funding streams are robust and align with the center's strategic objectives. Collaboratively work with Program Directors and the Human Resources team to scrutinize and approve staffing for research programs. Requirements : Possession of a Ph.D. in agricultural science, plant breeding, agronomy, or a closely related field, complemented by a significant publication record and demonstrable project leadership. A cumulative years or more of exemplary service in senior management positions within renowned nonprofit organizations, foundations, corporate sectors, or government agencies, with a commanding track record in scientific leadership and executive oversight. A global perspective grounded in international and developing country experience, driven by a deep commitment to elevating living standards in emerging economies.
