Overview A client is looking for a hands-on Lead Data Analyst to support AI-driven forecasting initiatives within their finance domain. They will be supporting our platform, Mosaic, which delivers a systemized capability for the complete planning & forecasting process by each customer, product, and business unit across the sector, as well as reporting analytics for actuals. They will use Databricks to gather, cleanse, transform and analyze large datasets in preparation for data scientists to build data models with. They will then use Synapse Analytics to integrate big data and data warehousing to query structured and unstructured data as well as Teradata to handle enterprise-level data warehousing with SQL-based transformations. Involved in stakeholder management, guiding them with data driven insights. Key Responsibilities Lead data discovery efforts for new markets by identifying and analyzing historical data across internal teams. Partner with AI/ML teams to prepare and validate data for model training and deployment. Conduct data discovery and validation for new market expansion, ensuring historical data sufficiency. Benchmark data quality using reporting tools and collaborate on source-to-target mapping. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand functional logic and translate it into actionable insights. Analyze forecast data and business observations for existing markets to identify defects and improvement opportunities. Work closely with data science and engineering teams to validate data quality and pass functional logic for implementation. Support AI projects by providing deep analytical insights and ensuring data readiness for model development. Qualifications 5+ years experience on data analytics and data modeling Write and optimize custom SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources. Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure clean, structured data pipelines using Python, PySpark, and Databricks. Experience with financial master data and business logic in enterprise environments. Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to interpret business requirements into performant business Ability to work in agile delivery environments and adapt to evolving business needs. Appetite for learning and applying functional knowledge in finance and forecasting. Strong communication skills to engage with cross-functional teams and business users. Experience in categorizing and scaling solutions across new and existing markets.
