The Global Security and Asset Protection (GSAP) department at The Coca-Cola Company is tasked with safeguarding the company from security and high-risk issues that could jeopardize operations, consumer trust, brand reputation, and shareholder confidence. Our team provides world-class threat prevention and resolution across the global business system, implementing sophisticated security programs during major events, managing crisis situations, and ensuring business continuity.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing security risks, conducting criminal investigations, and leading crisis response efforts. This role will involve significant regional travel and occasional international travel. Applicants must have the right to live and work in Mexico, as no assistance will be provided for work or relocation permits.

What You Will Do for Us:

  • Incident Management: Act as a subject matter expert on The Coca-Cola Company’s Incident Management & Crisis Resolution process, ensuring comprehensive training and preparedness across bottlers, franchise offices, and regional teams.
  • Business Resilience/Continuity: Support and lead the business resilience and continuity programs, conducting validation programs, training sessions, and desktop exercises to enhance the region's preparedness.
  • Security Audits: Conduct thorough security audits of company-owned facilities, develop corrective action plans, and ensure alignment with global GSAP programs.
  • Travel Management: Collaborate with GSAP teams to create and manage travel security plans for executives and associates traveling to high-risk areas within and outside of Mexico.
  • Investigations: Oversee and support investigations, including pre-employment screening, Code of Business Conduct investigations, as well as criminal and civil investigations as required.
  • Executive Protection: Manage the executive protection program, including expatriate and mobility security, ensuring the safety of executives during travel and in residential settings.
  • Event Security: Provide security guidance and oversee security management for marketing activations, and major local and international events (e.g., World Cup, Olympics).
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including local law enforcement, private security firms, and government officials, to support incident response and security strategy implementation.
  • Security Training: Provide subject-matter expert security training seminars on kidnap avoidance, information protection, safe travel, and workplace security to employees and partners in the region.
  • Crisis Management: Lead the resolution of security-related incidents such as extortion, kidnapping, product contamination, or criminal attacks by utilizing security and law enforcement best practices.
  • Additional Duties: Carry out any other security-related duties as assigned by or on behalf of the Chief Security Officer, or his/her designee, ensuring alignment with The Coca-Cola Company’s global security goals.

Role Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree in security, Law Enforcement, Business Resilience, International Relations, or a related field. Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years of relevant security experience in government, law enforcement, or corporate settings.
  • Leadership & Execution: Proven ability to lead complex projects, prioritize competing demands, and execute under minimal supervision.
  • Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated capability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including law enforcement, government officials, and security experts.
  • Government/Agency Experience: Recent (within the last two years) experience working with or for government, law enforcement, or intelligence agencies, with a clear understanding of the Mexican security landscape.
  • Travel Risk & Executive Protection: Expertise in conducting travel risk assessments and managing executive protection programs.
  • Investigative Skills: Strong experience in applying investigative procedures within a corporate environment, including managing financial and criminal investigations.
  • Emerging Technologies and Associated Threats: Experience with and/or working knowledge of emerging technologies such as generative AI to include, but not limited to deepfakes and how they may impact The Company.
  • Crisis & Incident Management: Experience managing security incidents and crises, with a deep understanding of business continuity principles and asset protection strategies.
  • Event Security: Hands-on experience in planning and managing security for large-scale events in high-risk environments.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Spanish is required. Additional languages are advantageous.
