Our continued success depends on itPosition Summary:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Okta Administrator/Engineer to join our customer identity and access management team. This role is ideal for someone with foundational experience in Okta administration who is eager to grow their skills in identity security, access governance, and cloud-based authentication systems.Key Responsibilities:- Administer and maintain the Okta Identity Cloud platform, including user lifecycle management, SSO integrations, and MFA policies.- Support onboarding/offboarding processes through automated workflows and provisioning tools.- Implement and manage Okta configurations using Terraform and other IaC tools to ensure repeatable and auditable deployments.- Develop and execute testing strategies for Okta configurations and deployments, ensuring changes are validated before production rollout.- Monitor and respond to Okta-related incidents, alerts, and service requests.- Collaborate with IT, security, governance, and teams throughout the organization to ensure alignment of identity policies and procedures.- Maintain (versioned, where applicable) documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures.- Participate in customer identity-related projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.- Stay current with Okta features, security best practices, and industry trends.Required Qualifications:- 1-3 years of experience in IT administration, with at least 1 year focused on Okta or similar IAM platforms.- Familiarity with identity concepts such as SSO, MFA, provisioning, and RBAC.- Basic understanding of protocols like SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.- Experience with directory services (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP).- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.Preferred Qualifications:- Okta Certified Administrator or equivalent certification.- Experience with scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.- Experience using Terraform to manage Okta configurations and other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.- Familiarity with testing frameworks or practices for validating Okta configurations and deployments.- Exposure to security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, SOC 2, HIPAA).- Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
