Evaluate supplier quotations to determine the best combination of technical solution, cost and timing.- Prepare customer quotations for automation projects.- Develop budget and schedule for projects and manage projects to stay within them.- Conduct equipment design reviews and provide design guidance to suppliers.- Manage automation suppliers through all phases of projects.- Provide on-site support during machine build, debug and testing/qualification.- Supervise installation and testing to verify requirements and specifications are met.- Draft qualification protocols and support equipment qualification activities.- Visionary in the field of automation. Know when to deploy and when not to deploy automation.- Develop manufacturing solutions with the best combination of manual, semi-automation and/or full automation. Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow. Design the layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency and safety- Attend customer meetings at all level of discussions, getting customer inputs and presenting Flex manufacturing solutions, etc.- Able to quickly cost analyze and work up the financial justification for automating.- Support new product development automation needs, facilitate assembly processes through the implementation of assembly cells and automated equipment at NPI stage and ensure meeting development time-line.- Interface with customers and functional owners on product development issues regarding automation. Conduct design-for-automation analysis and provide detailed recommendations.The experience we’re looking to add to our team:- BS/ MS Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent- Related experience in a technology based industry, where a mix of automated and manual assembly techniques is utilized.- English/Spanish communication skills - (80%)- Industrial Engineering experience working in both HMLV and LMHV assembly processes.- Knowledge of automation systems and tools - robotic, vision, material handling, ASRS, Conveyors, PLC, screws/fasteners, HMI, Pick-Place-Pack, Inspection/Test (Structural and Non-Contact e.g. Laser), Application of lasers e.g. Etching/Marking, Dispense process, Machining, Mechanicals (Soft Tooling, Hard tooling, Plastics, etc.)- Knowledge of Layout, Tooling/Fixturing, Demand Flow, Cell Concept and Lean Manufacturing and Simulation tools- Experience working with manufacturing of medical devices (Desirable)What you’ll receive for the great work you provide:- Competitive Salary.- Life & Medical insurance.- Christmas Bonus.- Food Coupons.- Saving Fund.LB17Job CategoryProduction Engineering**Required Skills**:Optional Skills:.
