Other Full authority for M&P.**Position Purpose**:Ensures that all materials and processes used in Design and aircraft Manufacturing meet all the requirements from both Gulfstream and the FAA.Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:- M&P Engineers investigate material or processes discrepancies resulting from manufacturing operations and create repair dispositions.- Provide support to Material Review Board (MRB) Engineers.- They also investigate engineering design changes related to materials and processes conditions and prepare proposal for engineering change.- Provide support to design engineers and follow up on design work all the way throughout closure.- Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality, operations and materials procurement departments related to specific materials and processes.- Creation or revision of internal material or process specifications within the company.Additional Functions:- Able to perform tasks from previous level plus new tasks from current level.- Provide technical training/mentoring to Engineers from previous levels.- Demonstrate expertise and self‐sufficiency to perform M&P investigations to substantiate Design changes (ECRs/ISs) and MRB repairs.- Obtain PQL027E full authority for M&P or demonstrate a significant progress on this accomplishment.- Familiar with creating and revising materials and processes specifications, reports and test plans.- Familiar with proper selection of materials and processes for parts.- Interface with engineers and suppliers regarding technical issues concerning raw materials and parts fabrication.- Develop training plans for M&P Department.- Participate in department projects..Perform other duties as assigned.Other Requirements:- Technical knowledge in chemical processing (chemical conversion coating and anodic coatings), plating and protective finishes, materials properties, sealing, heat treatment.- Interpretation of technical specifications and structural blueprint models.- Project management skills is preferred.- Problem Solving Skills.- CATIA V5 is preferred.- Skills in root cause analysis and corrective actions.**Additional Information**Requisition Number: Posting Type: Internal-ExternalDepartment: J3665-Design Sup StructuralCategory: MaterialsPercentage of Travel: Up to 25%Shift: FirstEmployment Type: Full-timeSalary Grade:TI4Number of Openings: 1Posting End Date: custPostEndDateEqual Opportunity Employer / Individuals with Disabilities / Protected VeteransGulfstream does not provide work visa sponsorship for this position, unless the applicant is a currently sponsored Gulfstream employee.Legal Information | Site Utilities | Contacts | SitemapCopyright © 2025 Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation.
