The General Manager LAC will oversee Virtuoso’s global operations in the market. The role is responsible for the regional business plan (specifically the Regional Playbook and Regional Budget). GM’s are accountable for governance and operationalization of the business plan in sync with the global enterprise business plan. Regional business plans involve extensive divisional collaboration and GM’s play a lead role in the – research, prioritization, communication, and forecast review. The GM must have a keen understanding of global policies and ensure regional relevancy. GM’s must provide expert input into cultural, political and operational challenges in the market. The regional budgets are a key financial outcome of the regional business plan and as such financial KPI’s are a key area of accountability. As such, the GM should be extremely capable in the area of finance management and team leadership. International GMs administer the regional business strategy and ensure regional teamwork and collaboration within a divisional matrix structure. Regional Divisional Directors / Managers will report under the matrix leadership structure to the GM. This position will administer regional staff, it will be the GM’s responsibility to ensure employees and business practices conform to country, regional and international regulations. Matrix collaboration, decision-making, communication, and leadership skills are essential. This role plays a critical link between market execution and interdepartmental synergies. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Identify market gaps and opportunities Collaborate with Virtuoso departments to develop annual strategies for optimization of revenues, brand equity and margin. Work directly with Virtuoso divisions to ensure relevance and quality of the Virtuoso value proposition. Provide coverage for vacant roles in the regional matrix. Collaboration and communication with executive teams. Analyze and communicate competitive context. Operate as the brand ambassador in market and be the on-the-ground reference point for Virtuoso.
