If you’d like to help us change the way the world sees, this is your chance to Be BrilliantThe person in this position will support the R2R (Record to Report) Team, providing high-quality services, performing daily accounting duties, in the field of tax settlements and taking an active part in activities related to the closing of the month. (Activities related to the position)How You Will Make a Difference- Key responsibilities_- Interact proactively with functional areas to ensure accurate accounting and financial reporting is accomplished within prescribed deadlines and in accordance with IFRS / Alcon Accounting Manual- Prepare accurate and robust monthly balance sheet account analyses and reconciliations, including analyses for balance sheet reviews- Prepare accurate journal entries in a timely manner- Ongoing process improvements made through the month to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and address business / operational changes.- Collaborate proactively with key stakeholders, including Finance colleagues, internal and external accounting authorities/auditors, and Regional/Global Financial Reporting and Accounting. Communication with these stakeholders is appropriate and timely when questions regarding accounting/reporting matters arise.- Ensure all processes comply with Alcon standards and policies (i.e. global processes, Alcon Accounting Manual, Alcon Financial Controls Manual, Management Authorization Levels, etc.).- Understand all impacts to the general ledger for assigned areas due to other intra- and inter-departmental transactions including manufacturing, inventory and cost accounting, inter-company receivables and payables, cash activity and activity from other functional departments.What We Can Offer You- Opportunity to join growing, early-stage organization built within a mature, stable global company- Friendly working environment and a diverse and highly motivated team- Individual career development plan and possible career growth within newly created account- Truly international environment and daily interactions with colleagues and stakeholders from all over the world- Attractive benefits & compensation package- Flexible hours and remote work possibilities (min 3 days per week office-based)Skills For Success- Key Requirements/Minimum Requirements_- Undergraduate degree in accounting and/or Finance required.- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English- 6+ years of accounting experience - public and industry preferred- Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS (GAAP), accounting and financial reporting requirements. Strong analytical skills.- Proficient ERP knowledge (SAP, JDE)- Solid Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)- Experience working on process improvement projects and financial process engineering- Experience working within shared services teams preferredKINDLEY SUBMIT RESUME IN ENGLISH
