Sustainability Lead, Mx-Co-Ec

Job Description About the Role As a Sustainability Lead for the MX-CO-EC Sales Market, in the Communications function, you contribute to added customer value, a strong brand, and increased sales by ensuring a strong strategic foundation for employee and customer related sustainability initiatives. You drive the implementation of regional circularity programs and adapt global content for local audiences. You partner with Government Relations and Public Affairs Manager to provide support with sustainability legislation and policies. You collaborate closely with the Customer Activation team to be able to find synergies to add value and build improved sustainability perception for H&M. This hybrid role reports into our Regional Sustainability Manager and is based out of Mexico City, MX. A Day in the Life Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities* Together with the Sustainability Manager drive local sustainability activities for the region including the garment collecting program, customer communications, and colleague forums and programs Work cross-functionally to educate and inspire teams, providing input on how to add value and connect sustainability efforts to our brand direction Work with Learning & Development department to create and adapt relevant onboarding and ongoing training / upskilling around sustainability Lead local implementation and coordination of global sustainability campaigns Work closely with Government Relations and Public Affairs Manager to provide support around policies and legislation regarding sustainability topics, including research, coordination and attending trade association meetings Collaborate with external agencies and consultants to support sustainability strategies and activations Conduct research and audits around sustainability activities of competitors Set, follow up, and report on KPIs and objectives connected to project responsibility, showing the connection to added customer value and selling Support with budgeting including reviewing and processing of invoices Strive to reach and engage our customers in all touch points by ensuring a close to customer approach Strengthen and protect H&M as a brand by ensuring that H&M brand guidelines and policies are met May performs other activities related to the position Qualifications Who You Are : An academic degree in a relevant field, or a combination of education and experience 5+ years of experience in a project management role Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex idea Strong understanding of complex sustainability landscape in the region Experience in collaborating with agencies Competence within digital / tech and omni ways of working preferred Knowledge of setting and following up KPIs to demonstrate return of investment Proven track record of delivering strategies and solutions that drive business results Strategic, and analytical mindset and strong planning and prioritizing skills Proactive and creative thinker, with ability to thrive under pressure Inclusive, positive, open to feedback, willing to multitask and learn on the job Why You'll Love Working at H&M We value diverse backgrounds, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, and disability We pride ourselves on being a values-driven organization, guided by our 7 unique values that have been part of our success story for over 75 years You will have access to our Colleague Resource Groups (CRGs) to find community and networking opportunities among colleagues We are an inclusive company where you're encouraged to be yourself at work You will have access to a large global talent community, where career growth and aspirations have no limits We believe in supporting your overall wellbeing and offer comprehensive benefits You will be able to express your personal style with our employee discount at H&M, & Other Stories, and COS This job posting highlights the most critical responsibilities and requirements of the job and is not all-inclusive.
