SOCIAL MEDIA PRODUCER FOR VISUALS, MEXICOPrior experience in UGC newsgathering would be a clear advantage, as would evidence of an ability to identify breaking stories and emerging trends on social media. However, as full training will be given, a willingness to learn quickly, communicate clearly and work accurately under pressure are at least as important.Fluent spoken and written Spanish and English are a pre-requisite, Portuguese will confer an advantage.Other requirements:- Strong writing capabilities- A determined approach and an ability to work in a team environment- Basic video editing skillsDuties include:- Searching social media for photographs and videos of breaking news events- Using tools and techniques to verify content so Reuters can be sure it is genuine- Obtaining copyright clearance of content so it can be distributed by Reuters- Ensuring that content is distributed quickly and effectively- Editing video and writing accompanying stories for Reuters’ clients- Identifying newsworthy trending topics and pitching digital-friendly stories- Working under pressure to tight deadlines on own initiativeDo you want to be part of a team helping re-invent the way knowledge professionals work?
