At Cognizant, we promote an inclusive culture that values different perspectives providing career growth and development opportunities. **#WelcomeToCognizant****Job Summary****Responsibilities**- Manage and track defects using JIRA ensuring timely resolution and communication with development teams.- Develop and maintain test metrics and reporting to provide insights into testing progress and quality.- Utilize SQL for data validation and testing purposes ensuring accurate data transformations.- **Use Postman for API testing verifying the functionality and performance of APIs.**:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop comprehensive test plans.- Execute test cases and document results identifying any issues or discrepancies.- Provide detailed defect reports and work with developers to resolve issues.- Participate in test planning and strategy meetings to ensure thorough coverage of all test scenarios.- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.- Mentor junior testers providing guidance and support to improve their testing skills.- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in testing.- Contribute to the overall success of the project by ensuring high-quality deliverables.**Qualifications**- Possess strong experience in **ETL Tool Application Testing.**:- Have expertise in **Test and Defect Management.**:- Demonstrate proficiency in Test Metrics and Reporting.- Be skilled in using Defect Tracking Tools like JIRA.- Have solid knowledge of SQL for data validation.- Experience with **Postman for API testing is required.**:- **Experience in Life and Annuities Insurance or Property & Casualty Insurance is a plus.**:- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are required.- Ability to work in a hybrid model with day shifts.- Minimum of 4 years and maximum of 8 years of relevant experience.- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field is preferred.- **ISTQB Certification or equivalent is a plus.****Why Cognizant?**Improve your career in one of the largest and fastest-growing IT services providers worldwideReceive ongoing support and funding with training and development plansHave a highly competitive benefits and salary packageGet the opportunity to work for leading global companiesWe are committed to respecting human rights and building a better future by helping your minds and the environmentWe invest in people and their well-being.We build conditions for everyone to thrive.
