As a Quality Assurance Chemist, you will ensure that the product released at PPG meets the specifications defined by the customer, complying with safety, cost and time standards. Based on the Quality System and applicable international standards (ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016) for the satisfaction of customer requirements.You will report to Quality Manager.**Key Responsibilities**- Ensure the release of materials within specifications following agreed requirements for each customer.- Control internal quality evaluation processes with strict adherence to established procedures and specifications.- Maintain strict operating standards to ensure the correct release of different materials, finished products and raw materials.- Ensure the correct use of measuring equipment, through the development and compliance of verification programs, calibration, maintenance and R & R study.- Identify actual and potential causes of product failure by performing analysis of information derived from Customer complaints or product and process monitoring, to of the Plant processes.- Stop processes and release of products that do not comply with the established quality specifications, such as color, wet properties, mechanical properties that may jeopardize the conformity of the product with the customer or the manufacturing of the finished product.- Prepare reports on failures and corrective actions.- Work with diverse teams to implement advanced quality tools and control plans.**Qualifications**- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar.- Minimum 2 years of work experience as a quality engineer or in a similar position.- Technical Knowledge: Test methods to evaluate automotive coatings, use of equipment to evaluate coatings, basic chemistry, data analysis, statistical analysis.- Intermediate English- Internal Auditor- Rotate shifts**About us**:**PPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD****The PPG Way**Every single day at PPG:**We partner with customers to create mutual value.****We are "One PPG" to the world.****We trust our people every day, in every way.****We make it happen.****We run it like we own it.****We do better today than yesterday - everyday.**Benefits will be discussed with you by your recruiter during the hiring process.PPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
