**Product Engineer Sr**We are hiring a **Product Engineer Sr** who will work with customers, engineers, mechanical designers, manufacturing, suppliers, marketing, and industrial design by performing large, complex engineering assignments related to the creation, development and/or improvement of product designs.**What you will be doing**:- Makes independent studies, analysis, interpretations, and conclusions- Coach, mentor and lead other engineers and mechanical designers in the use of mechanical engineering/mechanical design principles, computer-aided design, and the completion of engineering/mechanical design activities.- This position requires managing the budget for the engineering portion of a project. Fulfill specific R.O.I. responsibilities.- Create engineering/design content of documentation package and verify accuracy and completeness.**Who You Are**:**Required Skills and** **Competencies**- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field required.- Advanced English- Master’s degree in engineering is a plus.- Proficient on CREO and Pro/E- 5 years of experience in a similar role- Knowledge on mechanical design**Preferred Skills and Competencies**- Business Industry Knowledge: Ability to acquire knowledge of the office furniture industry, Steelcase organization, processes, products, standards, and information systems.- Understands Product Life Cycle since development to product sunset.- Approaches and draws inspiration from a variety of sources.- Continuous improvement mindset- Ability to work on multiple assignments and effectively manage time and priorities.- Ability to create CAD (Pro/E ) models to document and analyze the engineering/mechanical aspects of the design.- Lean Methodology- Ability to understand/interpret tooling and product cost data, economic principles, and profit/loss analysis as they relate to the engineering of a product.- Ability to create Engineering documentation in PTC Windchill.**Why people choose to work with us**:At Steelcase, we put people at the center of everything we do.
