Job Description**Job Description**:The Advanced Electrical Design Engineer will work as part of the new product development project team providing Electrical Design insight and expertise pertaining to manufacturability and continuous improvement of Aviation, Military, & Broadcast products (AMB). This individual will engage early in the electrical design and development phases and provide recommendations and solutions ensuring an optimized design and manufacturing process. This person will also function as the Electrical & PCBA design liaison between manufacturing and the AMB Product Development Team.**Responsibilities**:- Electrical Engineering liaison between Manufacturing and AMB- Design and analyze circuits using simulation tools to produce well understood designs prior to building physical hardware.- Fix critical and chronical quality and yield electrical related issues.- Follow the development processes which includes documenting requirements and design, reporting test results, crafting troubleshooting/ debugging guides.- Perform in depth design for testability analysis and report results in appropriate test coverage reports.- Develop test specifications and requirements for prototypes and final production.- Ability to travel internationally for new product launch, design reviews and validation of test processes and systems.- EE Design work (70%), Mfg. Test Dev. (20%), Manufacturability (10%)**Skills**:- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Strong fundamental knowledge of analog/ digital circuit analysis and design.- Analog and digital test, measurement and data acquisition fundamentals.- Exhibit a mid-level proficiency in:- Low power circuit design- Analog and Mixed circuit designs- Embedded HW and firmware fundamentals and- Embedded development tools, such as emulators, analyzers and programmers- Superior knowledge of electronic test equipment: multi-meter, oscilloscope, power supply, waveform generator, spectrum analyzer, frequency counter, audio analyzers.- Basic knowledge with National Instruments software and hardware products, including PXI platform, Test Stand, LabVIEW, etc.- Knowledge and understanding of fundamentals of communication protocols, including SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS-232, etc.- Knowledge and understanding of fundamentals of digital audio protocols including I2S, TDM, PCM, PDM, etc.- Advanced statistics and data processing.- Soldering experience in SMT rework is a desirable skill.Education Requirements- MSEE, BSEE or CSE or comparable 5+ years of Electrical/ Test engineering experience.Professional Work Experience Requirements- Greater than 5 years working in electronics test environment.- Experience must include new product introduction & new process development activities.
