**THE COMPANY**Our client, a worldwide leader on electronic consumer good products, is seeking an Advanced Electrical Design Test Engineer to join its growing team in Mexico. The Advanced Electrical Design Test Engineer will work as part of a design/development team providing Electrical Test Design manufacturing knowledge and engaging early with the Electrical/ PCB design and new product development to ensure deployment of high-quality test solutions used in the manufacturing of AMB products.**THE POSITION**- To be in direct communication with product design EEs and act as resident product EE design expert for Mfg.- Main resource to go for manufacturing test development and operations.- Collaborate with manufacturing test developers assuring test equipment interoperability with intended UUTs.- Collaborate very closely with engineers and technicians on the test and product development teams.- Perform early exploration and advanced development of test methods.- Perform in depth design for testability analysis and report results in appropriate test coverage reports.- Develop test strategies, plans, requirements, and specifications for prototypes and final production.- Design complex and flexible test systems and test fixtures for prototype and engineering validation.- Ability to travel internationally for new product launch, design reviews and validation of test processes and systems.- EE Design work (40%), Mfg. Test Dev. (30%), Manufacturability (30%)**THE CANDIDATE**- Education: MSEE, BSEE or CSE or comparable 5+ years of Electrical/ Test engineering experience.- Over 5 years working in electronics test environment.- Experience must include new product introduction & new process development activities.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Strong fundamental knowledge of analog and digital circuit analysis and design.- Analog and digital test, measurement and /data acquisition fundamentals.- Exhibit at least mid-level competency in:- Low power circuit design.- Analog and Mixed circuit designs.- Embedded HW and firmware fundamentals and embedded development tools, such as emulators, analyzers and programmers.- Superior knowledge of electronic test equipment: multi-meter, oscilloscope, power supply, waveform generator, spectrum analyzer, frequency counter, audio analyzers.- Experience with National Instruments software and hardware products, including PXI platform, Test Stand, LabVIEW, etc.- Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of communication protocols, including SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS-232, etc.- Knowledge and understanding of fundamentals of digital audio protocols including I2S, TDM, PCM, PDM, etc.- Advanced statistics and data processing.- Soldering experience in SMT rework is a desirable skill.
