**Controller****Responsibilities**:- Track, tag, and maintain schedules to support the general ledger accounts of construction in process and fixed assets.- Active involvement in purchasing, receiving, and other procurement related activities.- Basic ability to track purchase orders and understand how they can potentially impact the financial statements.- Must be able to demonstrate having a strong working knowledge and experience in manufacturing, cost accounting, and managing the accounting for inventory.- Basic banking responsibilities include initiating payments, and forecasting cash requirements.- Identify trends recommends, and implements improvements accordingly (labor, materials, productivity, efficiencies, etc.) through process optimization.- Prepare, enter, post and review journal entries with appropriate documentation.- Meet monthly and annual closing schedules, and prepare related financial schedules as deemed necessary by plant and company management.- Owner of plant costing process and ensures the plant standards accurately reflect the value of the products.- Demonstrate a strong knowledge of internal controls.- Direct preparation of studies, reports, and analyses in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, cash flow projections, and business forecasts.**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:- Extensive knowledge and understanding of proper financial planning and analysis processes.- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.- Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills, and ability manage multiple priorities.- Working knowledge of GAAP.- Understand Mexican tax law (not limited to, but including: VAT, Payroll Tax, Monthly Compliance with tax auditors).**Minimum Education and Experience**:- Bachelor’s degree (M.A.) or equivalent; along with three to five years of related experience.- Experience in budgets, forecast and financial planning.- Excellent written and verbal bi-lingual communication skills.- Knowledge of Accounting software (Infor XA and QuickBooks is a plus); and be proficient in Microsoft office products, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
