Accounting Specialist - RemoteA growing team is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day financial operations and support both internal processes and client-facing responsibilities. This is a remote position that requires hands-on accounting expertise, leadership skills, and a strong understanding of GAAP principles.**Responsibilities**- Manage and review financial records including general ledger, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and tax documentation.- Supervise a small team of accountants, offering regular feedback, coaching, and support with professional development.- Support clients with monthly and year-end close activities, produce accurate financial statements, and assist during audits.- Develop and implement internal procedures to improve consistency and efficiency.- Collaborate with other departments including tax, sales, and operations to ensure alignment and compliance.- Define and monitor performance indicators to ensure financial goals and deadlines are met.**Ideal Qualifications**- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.- Between 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in accounting roles.- Experience managing or mentoring team members.- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel is essential.- Must be able to obtain QuickBooks Online certification within 60 days of hire.- Familiarity with tax reporting and compliance practices is highly preferred.- CPA designation is a plus, but not mandatory.- Spanish fluency is a bonus.**Remote Requirements**- Access to a quiet, distraction-free workspace.- Reliable, high-speed internet.- Dual monitors or a multi-screen setup for maximum productivity.**Benefits**- Competitive pay structure with opportunity for performance-based bonuses.- Flexible remote schedule and autonomy in day-to-day responsibilities.- Ongoing training and support for professional development.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys structure, leadership, and autonomy while contributing to meaningful financial operations.
