If you’re passionate about developing your career, while helping others along the way, come join the Broadridge team.Job Responsibilities:The Java Reporting Engineer professional will work across the development, client implementation, and client support teams to develop and maintain our enterprise portfolio management and investment accounting platform in support of clients, including buy-side institutional investment plans, asset managers, wealth managers, portfolio managers, investment trading professionals, and accounting professionals. We are looking for a well-rounded developer who work well in a development team using iterative development methodologies to maintain our robust, high-quality production systems.- Continue the build-out of the framework and implementation process to support the Jaspersoft reporting environment.- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, reliable and testable Java code.- Collaborate with the development team to construct integrated solutions.- Create and execute unit software test cases and interact with product quality assurance to resolve bugs, clarify functionality, and resolve software usability issues.- Assist DBA with maintaining the platform’s MySQL databases.- Analyze databases and optimize database queries.- Perform other related duties as required.- Must be able to work US Eastern Time Zone hours.Skills/Competencies:- 3+ years of Java programming experience is a plus.- Strong SQL and XML experience and skills.- Strong report layout and report generation experience.- Strong report user experience/user interface skills.- Ability to gather, analyze and communicate business requirements.- Financial Services experience is desired.- Experience with TIBCO JasperSoft, Tableau or another reporting tool is a plus.- Experience with RESTful Web Services is a plus.- Experience configuring Apache/Tomcat environments and strong understanding of them is a plus.- Experience with Cloud Technologies (especially AWS) a plus.- A self-starter with strong analytical skills.Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.- 2+ years in commercial software development.- Strong interpersonal/communication skills (both written and verbal), sense of humor, and exceptional character.- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, with a demonstrated focus on client satisfaction.- Proven track record for developing, releasing, and supporting multiple high-quality products.- Professional experience developing performant, scalable, complex systems.- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.Broadridge associates helped us envision our Connected Workplace - a work model that allows associates around the globe, dependent upon their role responsibilities, take advantage of the benefits of both on-site and off-site work to support our clients, one another, and the communities where we live and work.
