**Introduction to Role**:Join us as an NRE Sr Network Solution Engineer, where you will significantly influence the future of network technology at AstraZeneca. This role is integral to the NRE team within a Scaled Agile operating model, focusing on the implementation, operation, and optimization of network products. Work closely with Network Product Engineering, TSM, and multi-functional teams like Cyber Security, Cloud, and Workplace Enterprise Services, as you take on more ownership and leadership.**Accountabilities**:As a Senior Network Solution Engineer, you will lead all aspects of network implementation, operations, reliability, and processes, translating AstraZeneca's strategic vision into network engineering solutions. Identify and mitigate network risks through regular audits, and propose effective solutions to business and technical challenges. Collaborate with the automation team to develop software that streamlines repetitive tasks.**Essential Skills/Experience**:- CCIE/CCNP or equivalent certification with a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience.- Over 7 years in large-scale network architecture design, deployment, and operation.- Superb interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability for project-related issues.- Experience in fast-paced environments with strong organizational capabilities.- Significant experience with vendors, services, and providers.- Embrace an automation-first approach.- In-depth, hands-on expertise in at least three areas: SD-WAN, Wireless, Network Security, DC, Cloud Networking, or Network Automation.- Deep technical knowledge of high availability design, optimization, and operations.- Experience in large enterprises along with an Agile Enterprise approach.- A self-starter attitude with excellent influencing and collaboration skills in diverse, global teams.**Desirable Skills/Experience**:- ** Enterprise LAN/WAN**: Expertise in IP-based networking architecture; experience with Cisco routers and switches; design and implementation of SD-WAN and Cisco ACI; Cisco DNA Center knowledge; TCP/IP and Ethernet protocol expertise; load balancing using Citrix NetScaler.- ** Security**: Experience in designing and implementing network security solutions; knowledge of Zero Trust principles and tools like Illumio and Zscaler; firewall optimization and management; experience with Cisco StealthWatch and multi-vendor firewall environments including Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, and others. Cisco CCIE Security or CCNP Security is required.- ** Wireless**: Experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale Wi-Fi networks, including MS Teams over Wi-Fi; expertise with Cisco and Ruckus Wi-Fi 6 Access Points; wireless site surveys using tools like Ekahau.Join us and play a key role in shaping the future of network solutions at AstraZeneca.When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we ignite bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines.
