Senior Network Reliability Engineer

**THIS IS WHAT YOU’LL DO**Senior Network Reliability Engineer is responsible for the Network Reliability and Engineering of WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, Cloud Connectivity and Network Security Services. Typically, leading matrix teams or projects. Providing technical leadership and direction and contribution to the organisation through the function. This role will be expected to manage risk using evaluative judgements in complicated situations. This role is expected to have effective levels of interactive communication outside the team and directly influencing and advising those within the team. Focus areas include Technical Design, engineering and Operational Management of AstraZeneca’s global network and cloud infrastructure**Typical Accountabilities**- Senior Network Reliability Engineer is part of the Site Reliability Engineering team in a Scaled Agile operating model- Responsible for the network reliability, engineering, implementation and automation of AstraZeneca’s global network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, Cloud, Network Security and Wi-Fi- Responsible for proactively improving availability and performance through regular maintenance and optimisation of the global network- Works closely with the Solution Engineering to implement changes across the Network.- Participate in a NetDevOps operating model to accelerate the delivery of change- Contribute to the standards and processes that deliver the strategic direction for Cloud Access and Networks- Work closely with vendors in utilising their products and services to support and deliver the Network strategy and keep up to date with industry best practice- Set and uphold technical design standards for all aspects of Network Services- Ensuring that Technical Solution/Engineering and Support functions meet customer requirements- Ensuring consistent and appropriate communication with internal stakeholders for Technical solution design/engineering enquiries and issues- Contribute to the lifecycle of all technical network changes, with the primary objective to enable beneficial changes to be made with minimum disruption to IT services- Identifying and leading opportunities for Operating Model improvements to our People, Organization, Technology and Information- Must have in depth knowledge of network technology with recognised industry experience and/or expert level accreditations (CCNP/CCIE / TOGAF or equivalent)- Participate in the Enterprise Technology Services governance framework and ensure overall Solution Engineering and implementation plan meets expected standards.- Knowledge of integration techniques and vendor capability of routers, firewalls and cloud infrastructure- Understand and appreciate industry best practices around fixed and wireless network design and configuration.- This role reports to the Network Reliability Engineering Manager**YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE**- Technical or Business Degree or relevant track record of equivalent experience.- Proven skills and experience delivering and supporting large networks infrastructures.- Strong track record managing and leading global complex technology transformation.- Experience shaping innovative solutions that have a major impact within the business area and organisation- Communicates effectively with stakeholders- Results oriented- Solves problems and analyses issues- Takes initiative and able to work independently- Practices self-development- Proactively collaborates with others to share goodpractice and continuously improve**WHY JOIN US**We’re a network of entrepreneurial self-starters who contribute to something far bigger.
