Nelson Global ProductsNew Product Introduction Engineer**RESPONSIBILITIES**:Drive production development efforts for new customer products. Analysis and development of manufacturing functions, capacities, and facilities needed to produce the customers product.Participate to drive the production development efforts for new customer products.Set up ERP part number structures, routings, and BOMs for new products.Work with Manufacturing Engineers to design and structure the manufacturing work flows for new products.Responsible for the creation and update of related documentation (test procedures, assembly instructions, specifications, checklists, etc).Assist key personnel, project lead engineers, and/or Operations management in determination of work scope, tasks, schedules, and budgets.Support EHS regulatory/environmental as required in the projects launch.Create process flow diagrams, where applicable, to aid with rapid understanding of the process.Work with programs including Autodesk Vault, MS Word, and visual-mapping software to document and store processes.Partner with the Production and Manufacturing Engineering functions to lead pre-launch production trial runs and process quality monitoring.Develop product test plans and perform production test according manufacturing process instructions.Monitor operations of product and evaluate designs and ensure adherence to all design and manufacturing instructions.Ensure compliance to all Engineering Change Order procedures and work instructions.Analyze and recommend corrective actions for any design failure occurrences.Coordinate NPI status reports and other appropriate reports.It is responsible for knowing the procedures and Safety Instructions, Health and Environment applicable to the department and Global Manufacturing Principles.Documenting new processes.Works closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Production, and EHS to take the assemblies from initial design through prototype development and into full production.**REQUIREMENTS**:Mechanical Engineer, Industrial Engineeror related.5 years of experience as a manufacturingworking on mechanical or electromechanical systems and welding processes.Ability to effectively employ standard methods and tools, APQP, PPAP (DFEMA, PFMEA, PFD, Control Plans, MSA, Capability Studies, etc).Proven working experience in design documentation developmentKnowledge of IATF, ISO 9001 & ISO14001 standard.Conversational English.
