There are many reasons to build your career at Carter's.- Responsible for day-to-day full-stack development activities and new project initiatives for creating/maintaining APIs and Amazon Web Service (AWS) components.- Partner with internal business and external vendors to collaboratively trouble shoot, problem solve, and gather business and technical requirements.- Collect, generate, analyze, and summarize data to proactively identify business trend and potential issues. Present metrics in an organized and understandable format to help make informed and timely decisions. Create a variety of reports/dashboard/alerts to meet business and leadership needs.- Work on innovative initiates to enhance features and performances of the team’s products including but not limited to RFID-related technologies, pricing api, transaction logs, sales audit, etc.- Support QA efforts.**JOB requirements - KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES**:- Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript is required.- Familiarity with a wide range of AWS services including but not limited to RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, SQS, SNS, SES, Route 53, EventBridge, DynamoDB, EC2, VPC, IAM, SSM, Security Manager, KMS, ACM, CloudFormation, CodePipeline, CodeStar, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy- Heavy hands-on experiences with SQL and database technologies (Rational is required and NoSQL is plus).- Familiarity with one or more modern back end service development technologies/Ecosystem (e.g., NodeJS, Spring,.NET Core) is required.- Familiarity with modern front end development technologies/Ecosystem (e.g., React, Vue, HTML, CSS) is required.- Familiarity with modern DevOps engineering technologies/tools (e.g., networking, security, CICD, Infrastructure as Code) is preferred.- Familiarity with both severless (cloud native) and containerized (docker, kubernetes) solution, extensive experiences on designing and implementing both is preferred.- Familiarity with IT system monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Splunk, ElasticSearch) is preferred.- Minimum 2 year of experience with reporting and analysis; specifically for project implementations and hyper-care support- Minimum 1 year in project planning focused on gathering business and technical requirements, project estimation, and project plan maintenance, with proven communication strategies.- Critical thinking with a drive for process improvement.- Ability to work on multiple projects and possess strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills**prior work experience and educational requirements**:- Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field (MIS or CS preferred)- 4+ years professional experience in an AWS developer role- Retail experience preferred
