Supports the purchasing area in the administration of its supplier’s base by means of evaluation and certification (supplier performance) and corrective actionsystems1. Can perform activities, such as: Planning and SchedulingActivities and Resources; Analysis (Methods and Measurements, Machines,Maintenance and Materials); Design (Product, Process, Equipment, etc.); ProjectManagement and Control (Quality Control, Process Control, etc.)2. Maintains the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of the Engineering Function3. Insures the Consistent Application of Inspections and Tests. Reviews and Analyzes the Results of the Inspection Tests and Supervises the outcome of Products that are Not Accepted suppliers, components and products.Coordinates with the Materials Reviewing Group: (MRB -Materials Review Board), Quality, Purchasing, Engineering, Etc.) to determine the Disposal of Non-Conforming Material. Initiates the Request for Corrective Actions and Follows Up on the Resolution of Problems to Eliminate or Minimize Incoming Inspections, suppliers, components and products.4. Supervises and Participates in the Development and the Initiation of the Techniques for Inspection, Testing and Evaluation of Incoming Materials. Evaluates Techniques and Recommends Changes. Works with Production, Quality, Materials and other Departments to define the Procedures and Quality Standards5.
