PRIMARY OBJECTIVE :

Reporting directly to the Market Director of the respective market, the National Account Manager is responsible for managing strategic client accounts at a National level, maximizing all profitable opportunities for sales within the accounts while demonstrating the value of the Winpak Brand.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Managing large accounts for the company and building relationships with key personnel.
  • Networking within National Accounts to secure all business opportunities.
  • Ensuring internal company functions result in the highest level of customer service to National Accounts.
  • Monitoring incoming orders and ensuring they are fulfilled on time and effectively.
  • Accurately managing all commercial information including customer forecasts, subsequent annual Sales Target/Plans, and new business potential.
  • Planning and executing strategic growth strategies at National Accounts.
  • Maintaining and growing relationships with all influential levels of the strategic customer organizations and the appropriate contacts at Winpak to ensure alignment to customer success.
  • Holding regular meetings with internal stakeholders about National accounts.
  • Investigating and resolving queries and issues raised by National accounts.
  • Taking a proactive approach to Account Management.
  • Arranging meetings with all relevant decision makers within the customer’s business, including holding business reviews to assess opportunities for revenue.
  • Performing duties and responsibilities in a manner compliant with ISO 9001 and SQF standards.

PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Inside – R&D, Technical, Customer Service, Market Directors, Directors of Business Development, Product Managers, Operations, and Quality team members.

Outside – Customers and all employees, with some interaction with Winpak Suppliers.

Committees – Trade Associations.

MAIN CHALLENGE OF THIS POSITION

Penetration into the active and potential National Accounts given the complexity of the Account’s organizational chart, often across multiple buildings.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The position requires work-from-home responsibilities, while travel to Winpak business visits will be required on an as-needed basis. Travel of 50%+ is a requirement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field experience is an asset.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of National Account selling experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in packaging (technical or commercial) focused on strategic sales growth.

Abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record of growing business within large Accounts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Proven track record of working to KPIs and achieving targets.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skillsets are a must.
  • Enthusiastic team player and self-starter.
  • Ability to prioritize time and focus on key and critical business activities.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to travel within Canada, the US, and Mexico.
