A model of active listening to all stakeholders and translation of learnings into action.- Establishes measurements and monitors/drives results on KPIs (Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost) by leading plant operations team.- Manages the team with high expectations, building a culture of candor, trust, and strong performance. Ensures direct reports are meeting goals as established in the business plan but more broadly speaking, creates a winning team.- Develops and grows talent at all levels within the plant organization but specifically as related to direct reports or staff- Provides regular performance and behavior reviews to employees with a mindset of courageous conversations; coaches and counsels team members quickly and effectively to meet the company's expectations for both leadership competencies and performance goals.- Persuades and conveys key messages and/or unpopular points of view in a motivating, honest and sensitive manner.- Builds influence and rapport with people across various levels, functions, culture, and geography.- Gains insight into customer needs to build solutions that also align with organizational needs.- Implements and manages cost effective process improvements, capital and operating expenditures, manpower levels, scheduling and shipping.- Leads regular safety, lean, 5S+1 inspections and audits; review performance to targets and root cause analysis and countermeasure steps to correct any abnormal conditions.- Participates in sales, inventory and operations planning sessions to develop operations objectives in support of organizational goals and customer support.- Establishes long term plans to achieve continuous improvement in all manufacturing functions utilizing perfect execution and associated tools.- Models the way in terms of high standards of honesty and integrity - challenges others to think and act similarly.- Makes people feel that their contributions are visible and valued.- Tackles difficult issues with optimism and confidence.- Conveys clear performance expectations and follow up consistently.- Remains energized and effective (resilient) when faced with ambiguity and uncertainty.**Basic Qualifications**- B.S. degree in technical, engineering or business discipline or equivalent combination or education and/or experience- Ten (10) years of operations and/or business-related experience and proven record of progressive levels of leadership in technical or manufacturing management roles- Effective communicator and change agent with focus on the customer- Strong analytical and data management skills- Excellent communication skills in a multi-language and multi-cultural environment- Excellent people management and time management skills- Strong interpersonal skills enabling cooperation in a team-oriented and matrix environment.- Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and presentation ability.- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word.- Fluency in Spanish / English- High quality decision making even in the face of uncertainty or when incomplete information is available- Hands-on leader who possesses a high level of drive, integrity, accountability and energy to connect with all levels of employees**Preferred Qualifications**- Experience with customer facing engagements- MBA or graduate level education in technical or engineering discipline- Certified in Lean and/or Six Sigma- Relevant business insight into the electronics manufacturing industry or HVAC-R customer needs
