Planner Buyer

We are looking for a PLANNER BUYERfor our Modern Industries plant in Hermosillo.From humble beginnings in 1969, MODERN INDUSTRIESis now recognized as an industry leader in precision machining, chemical processing, complex assembly, strategic procurement, high tolerance inspection, and multifaceted weld including TIG, MIG, orbital and e-beam. Our primary goal is to make our customer successful by leveraging our highly skilled and dedicated workforce to bring value at our technologically advanced factories using top tier capital equipment.**AIM OF THE POSITION**:Plans and establishes production schedules. Monitors materials inventories, submit purchase orders, tracks progress of productions, and review factors which affect schedules.**MAIN ACTIVITIES**:Interprets demand signals (MRP, Requisitions, Kanban cards etc.) and makes financially sound purchasing decisions.Works actively to identify, engage, and manage relationships with suppliers capable of meeting the business requirements relative to Cost, Delivery, Service, and Quality.Maintains records and systems consistent with professional approach to purchasing activities.Checks availability of raw material, component parts and sub-assemblies prior to releasing work orders.Initiate work orders in accordance with MRP/spreadsheet scheduling requirements.Prepare and maintain shortage reports, identify potential problems and communicate requirements and status of supply orders.Perform maintenance on supply orders as required to support schedule changes.**REQUIREMENTS**:Professional with +3 years of experience working in similar position.Advanced english level (verbal & written).Wire harness assembly industry experience (is a plus).Forecast, production planning, and procurement experience.**Knowledge in**: logistcs & transportation, MRP/other ERP System.Negotiation skills.Microsoft Excel skills.**KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES**:Has knowledge of commonly used purchasing policies, processes and procedures.Has knowledge of warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures.Has knowledge of material work planning and methods engineering processes and procedures.Has knowledge and ability to negotiate best vendor terms, pricing and delivery based on specific budget and schedule requirements.Understands inventory control principles and processes and the impact of inventory to the financial health of the business.**EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE**:Professional with Industrial Engineering or related degree.Advanced english level (verbal & written).Wire harness assembly industry experience (is a plus).**GET TO KNOW MODERN INDUSTRIES**:**OUR MISSION**: Modern Industries will establish an exemplary work environment that allows meaningful growth and advancement for all of its employees.
