In addition, we need someone with solid web content and marketing skills to help advise clients on the best way to write their content for the web to make it efficient, and easy to read.**Where you will make an impact**- Helps define best practices for content editing and copywriting for higher education.- Gathers feedback from design and technical staff on Web site development needs.- Assists in project planning and Web site design and forecasts milestones and deadlines.- Manage the workload of multiple clients and multiple projects.- Communicate to management when deadlines or milestones are in jeopardy or when problems arise.- Authors complex Web pages.- Creates prototypes and functional specifications for software projects.- Creates technical methodologies for engineering solutions to Web-based development problems.- Determines new Web technologies to utilize, such as browsers, languages, and plug-ins, and makes recommendations based on company's needs.- Conceptualizes long-term needs of Web development, and plans and manages related projects.- Makes suggestions on creating Web-based technical standards for client needs and internal projects. Participate in efforts to improve the overall Web development and delivery process.- Helps define and/or follow best practices for security, data integrity, and content and code management.- Works with site leadership to satisfy stated and unstated objectives while reporting through the Web Services Practice.- Demonstrates the behaviors of a Web professional committed to serving the needs of multiple clients and the advancement of the profession as a studied discipline.- Stays abreast of industry trends and all applicable technologies, including scripting, security issues, authoring tools, graphic design tools, new languages, methods of service delivery, and consultative practices. Suggests new innovative ideas for clever solutions to customer needs or to proactively create new services.- Strong analytical and communications skills required- Ability to work independently- Ability to work 8am-5pm (Eastern or Central Time - US & Canada)**What you will bring**:- Advanced knowledge of the WordPress CMS including managing upgrades, plug-ins, and creating custom content types.- Proven experience with core web technologies (PHP, JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, XML/JSON, Ajax, and API integration).- Proven experience with implementing, troubleshooting, and development of back-end modules, front-end themes, and other aspects of the WordPress CMS.- Digital Marketing Experience, including SEO, content strategy, and web marketing techniques.- Excellent written, verbal and diagrammatic communication skills.- Knowledge of web standards principles and practices.
