Wabtec has been doing that for decades and we will continue to do so Through our people, leadership development, services, technology and scale, Wabtec delivers better outcomes for global customers by speaking the language of industry.- The Buying Procurement Specialist is responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity.- In this role you will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.- Activities:- Understand strategies for assigned commodities and proactively drive initiatives to meet Sourcing objectives- Implement sourcing standards including process & execution, synergies for cost out- Improve supplier payment terms- Identify and qualify new suppliers- Contracts management, follow up and review- Assess supplier capabilities and make recommendations on supplier acceptability- Drive productivity opportunities with supply base to deliver cost out goals- Support commodity buys- Write reports to track PO activity and supplier performance- Analyze and track Supplier promise date accuracy- Drive effective recovery plans and create payment tracking and invoice analysis. tracking / invoice analysis- Place Purchase Orders (PO) timely and obtain PO acknowledgements from Suppliers.- Requirements:- Bachelor´s Degree in Business Administration or similar.- Fluent in English- Experience: 3 years- Wabtec Corporation is committed to taking on the world’s toughest challenges.
