Head of Traded Risk MX and LAM**Role purpose**Lead a team responsible for providing independent oversight of Market, Counterparty credit risk and Treasury Risk (Liquidity, Funding, IRRBB, Capital and Pension Risk) for the region (Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay). Ensure that MSS and Markets Treasury exposures are within the Risk Appetite, approve new business initiatives and limits, review and challenge First Line of Defence (FLOD). Review and challenge ALCM activities related to Liquidity, IRRBB and Capital. Typical day-to-day activities includes identification of Top and Emerging Risk, deliver expert advice to the Business particularly in new initiatives and products, ensure strong risk management capabilities and effective risk management, interface with regulators, own local policies, and properly implement Global strategy as well as drive change and process improvement within the region**Governance and Committee Memberships **_(_membership of ExCos, Risk Management Meeting) _Risk Management MeetingALCOLiquidity Risk Management MeetingIRRBB Risk Management MeetingPension Oversight ForumBrokerage House BoardBrokerage House Audit Committee**Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities** (_e.g., for Business, Customers and Stakeholders; internal control environment, etc.)_- The risk function provides oversight over all first line activities, including the risk appetite framework, limits and controls for business activities- Own Local Policies related to Market Risk, Treasury Risk and Traded Credit RiskResponsible for providing independent oversight of Market, Counterparty credit risk and Treasury Risk (Liquidity, Funding, IRRBB, Capital and Pension Risk) for the regionRequirements**Leadership & Teamwork**- Strong sense of ownership on everything touch your responsibilities, identify and focus on high priorities, simplify the work and communicate with your teams and stakeholdersMotivate and listen to your team, facilitate training, recognize good performance**Functional Knowledge**- Sound Risk Management experience in large and complex Banking institutions particularly in Market, Liquidity and Traded Credit risks.Deep understanding of Financial Markets, Fixed Income, FX and Derivatives products.HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and where their opinions count.
