Job Description:Data SciencePosition Overview:- You will be working in conjunction with a core product team where your team / business stakeholders will be in different counties and time zones. Therefore, a flexible approach to working and an understanding of cultural diversities is required, and English is the expected working language.**Responsibilities**:- Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions and insights.- Develop database solutions to store and retrieve company information- Install and configure information systems to ensure functionality- Migrate data from legacy systems to new solutions- Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts- Improve system performance by conducting tests, troubleshooting and integrating new elements- Optimize new and current database systems- Define security and backup procedures- Coordinate with the appropriate product owners to identify future needs and requirements- Provide operational support as neededRequired Qualifications:- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with relevant work experience.- Proven work experience as a data architect, data scientist, data analyst or similar role- In-depth understanding of database structure principles- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development- Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements based on user stories- Experience working with and creating data architectures- Proven expertise in SQL and Oracle- Proven expertise with Cloud Storage principles- Proven Analytical skills- Knowledge of data mining and segmentation- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Qlik, Quicksight)- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.- A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.Preferred Qualifications:- MS or PHD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field- 5-7 years of experience manipulating data sets and building database structures for storage and retrieval- Coding knowledge and experience with several languages and environments- Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques- Advanced Experience using cloud services: Redshift, Glue, S3, EMR, HadoopIf you are interested in an open position but feel you may not meet all the listed qualifications, we still encourage you to apply.Terex Overview:At Terex, we fully embrace the increasingly diverse world around us and strive to create an empowering and welcoming workplace culture.
