**Role Title**:- Product Specialist**Reporting To**:- FP Diesel Product Director**Role Purpose**:- Day-to-day responsibility for managing FP Diesel SAP product data including NPI templates, status code life-cycle changes and other material master data maintenance.**Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities**:- This job description is not to be regarded as exclusive or exhaustive and you may be required to undertake various duties as may reasonably be requested of you by the company.- Create SAP NPI load templates in 2167 and 2169 plant codes.- Responsible for reviewing and updating SAP sales status codes to support product life cycle changes.- Review BOMs (bill-of material) and component fixed suppliers to maintain accurate country of origin designations.- Update country of origin to support supplier changes.- Maintain CUBISCAN product data including weights and dimensions.- Manage and update packaging BOMs in 2167 / 2169 plant codes.- Support competitor interchange requests.- Liaise with the Purchasing / Engineering / Supply Chain as needed to support SAP NPI templates and related master data.- Create product data files for individual customer load templates.- Analyze global sales data to determine areas of focus and margin improvement.- Support the New Item Investigation (NII) process in FileMaker Pro.- Support product managers to manage and resolve supply chain issues (MOQs)**Key Interfaces**- Internal - Product Director, Product Managers, SAP Master Data Team, Engineering, Data Content Manager, Technical Services, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Operations.- External - Customers, External Suppliers**Direct Reports**- None**Person Specification****Role Title**:- Product Specialist**Reporting To**:- FP Diesel Product Director**Role Related Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Personal Attributes**:**Qualifications****or****Functional Experience**- Degree level education in Business Management, Engineering, Automotive Technical, Supply Chain Management, Marketing or the like.- Experience in product data management or a similar product related environment, ideally from heavy duty engine, automotive and/or replacement parts background.**Systems Knowledge**- Database knowledge essential, Power BI skills useful- Personal interest in the Commercial Vehicle / Off-Highway industry and a good level of vehicle / engine knowledge preferred.- SAP experience preferred but not required.**Personal Attributes**:- **Ability to respond to and meet critical deadlines**:- **Excellent communication skills both oral and written**- Must be able to work under pressure with a methodical approach- Well organized with a keen eye for detail and data accuracy- Quick to learn**Other**:**Requirements**:- The attitude and will to want to make a difference- Problem solver and innovative thinker
